Billy Wilkinson

1853–1904

Progenitor of 20th Century New Orleans cocktail culture; co-created and popularized the Sazerac Cocktail as it is now known

Billy Wilkinson was a noted bartender and member of the sporting set. Wilkinson tended Tom Handy’s influential Sazerac House with Vincent Miret in the 1890s, where they achieved renown for their house whiskey cocktails (Sazeracs) and other drinks.
