Clementi was the dean of Dolce Vita bartenders in the late 1940s and the 1950s, out of the bar at Rosati, Rome. This is the same time when Campari and Italian drinks like the Americano and the Negroni were breaking into the international canon. Clementi knew all the celebrities who passed through Rome.
