Aperol Spritz
Aperol, prosecco and an orange slice
The Spritz, a Venetian regional specialty since the early 20th Century, took the spritzer template and integrated Italian amari. One specific version exploded world-wide in 2003 on the back of aggressive Aperol marketing.
The procedure:
Aperol Spritz
Build in a goblet filled with ice:
- 4 oz prosecco
- 1 oz Aperol
- 2 oz seltzer or club soda
Garnish with a slice of orange
